About This Project

The original design of this San Francisco flat blocked the main living room and kitchen from all natural light sources.  The functional work space for the kitchen and laundry were cramped together into the darkest interior corner.

Using cost-efficient design, our team reconfigured the flat to maximize beauty and efficiency in a limited urban space.  The new barn door between the living room and the adjacent sunny bedroom floods the main living room and kitchen with natural light, while still allowing for a separate bedroom to be created when desired. The new laundry closet freed up space to expand the kitchen, maximizing efficiency for both high-use features of the flat. Our team thrives on optimizing space using smart technical design.
